At the start of 2017 our Director and Co-Founder of Black Bean Productions, James Suter, started an experiential travel company with Daniel Sheard – African Lynx Travel. We have been working closely with African Lynx Travel, producing content and working to assist them in building their brand – a brand that is really one like no other.

Watch this short clip - just some footage from a variety of African Lynx Travel shoots.

We thought it was about time to share some of this with you. Here is a selection of images and a short clip from African Lynx Travel experiences and shoots we have conducted with them, in and around the Western Cape. It has been a pleasure to bring their vision to light somewhat – through film and photography – visual story telling when it comes to experiences like these is so key. And the Western Cape is a beautiful place for any filmmaker or photographer, so we have thoroughly enjoyed and continue to enjoy working with African Lynx Travel.

“We seek out, curate and design the ultimate Western Cape travel itinerary unique to your interests and our expert recommendations. Many of these experiences can only be accessed through established connections, or with local knowledge of top secret spots and hidden gems.”

African Lynx Travel offers their guests an intimate experience of the Western Cape, really going the extra mile to customise every itinerary and show people around the world the best spots in this diverse area, those that are often not ‘on the tourist circuit’ so to speak.

African Lynx offers hikes through one of the most unique biodiversity ecosystems in the world. They also host kayak tours on the incredible coastline of Cape Town – where guests regularly encounter bottlenose dolphins. They also offer another marine experience, “Delve a little deeper on your very own private ocean safari as you snorkel with playful seals and discover the pristine, natural abundance that occurs when two of the greatest oceans meet.”

African Lynx Travel - Western Cape Coastline

When it comes to art, design and fashion – Cape Town boasts an impressive line-up of world-class contemporary galleries, design, houses and boutiques. African Lynx Travel offers an exclusive journey into the city – including an experience of local art, the creative culture of Cape Town, and local jewellery and garments.

“Private gallery viewings, market walks and underground boutique visits culminate in an authentic and exclusive experience that celebrates the ‘je ne sais quoi’ of Mzansi.”

African Lynx Travel is all about sharing the incredible local wines and cuisine of the Western Cape with guests too. Guests are able to enjoy fine dining or artisanal produce in one of the most beautiful wine valleys you’ve ever seen.

“Picnic against one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World or lunch in a cave overlooking the wild, roaring Atlantic. Freshly brewed coffee atop an enormous mountain at sunrise? Done. One thing’s for certain: From beginning to end – a gastronomical feast for senses.”

African Lynx Travel Hiking on Table Mountain

When it comes to African Lynx Travel and the experience of our Western Cape Nature – they not only share this with others and allow individuals to really immerse themselves in this wilderness, but they are passionate about it too – its beauty, and the conservation of protected areas.

“There’s something truly remarkable about the raw, natural beauty of the Western Cape region. And with African Lynx, nature lovers are in for an absolutely unparalleled experience. Walk in the footsteps of the illustrious Cape Leopard and track its movements on hidden cameras. Marvel at the kaleidoscopic quilts of spring blooms sprawled across the West Coast National Park. Get up close and personal with Africa’s largest antelope or if it’s an epic sunrise you’re after, ask any local and they’ll tell you that the best way to witness it is from a secret spot atop our beloved Table Mountain. Hike up in the dark with one of our expert guides and bare witness to the slow awakening of one of the most diverse floral kingdoms in the world.”
